Ellis Bojar made his first comics for other people when he was just 16, publishing indie books, editing licensed properties, coloring comics before computers, and even ghost-writing corporate-owned characters for major publishers. Finally, at the age of 44, he made his first comics for himself.
In between, he spent twenty-plus years in the IT industry, working in Boston, Seattle, and Dallas — Until a traumatic head injury left him unable to perform simple tasks, recall much of his past life, or sometimes even remember his own name. At doctor’s advice, he returned to fiction as a form of therapy.
He has written Blood Will Have Blood with Eisner-nominated illustrator Shepherd Hendrix (2017) and Red Shift with Eryk Donovan (June 2018), both available now. He is currently working on The Growing Season with Ryan Cody, and Past Perfect with Chris Shehan. He reviews comics for the Eisner-nominated Panel X Panel Magazine.
